Large technological corporations have a rival from Russia. Legendary Consumer Electronic Show (CES), which opened on January 8 in Las Vegas, showed to the Western World the airborne interactive display Displair. According to the creators, it should be an alternative to current displays.
- Apple Inc. wants to release a device which can can display an image right into the air. They even promote several concepts on the Internet. In Russia we have not only done that, but also we invite all representatives of the world market to come to CES and see it themselves - says Maxim Kamanin, the founder of Displair.
- You can feel the computer interactivity of the future with your own fingers for the very first time- says Kirill Warth, vice president of the French company Fabernovel. - The main Displair’s power is in the possibility of producing and industrialising the touchscreen at a low price, and also giving it the opportunity to exhibit in the show-rooms and enter into the industrial and common markets. The main valuable is in the simplicity of installation and ecofriendliness. Succeeding on the market, Displair may become the next generation of touch screens.
Such companies as BBDO Russia, Megafon, Grape, Microsoft and others are already interested in air display in Russia. They have successfully used it as a unique advertising medium for their special events.
